Othercide is an XCOM-like with horrific creatures and mystical warriors that’s getting a closed beta sometime in the near future.

Imagine a game like XCOM. Now replace aliens with otherworldly horrors and your soldiers with mystical warriors called Daughters. That’s what Othercide is. The title looks incredibly promising. Striking visuals, interesting creature design, and an oppressively bleak atmosphere. Quite a game. If you like what I’ve just described you should head over to this page and sign up for the upcoming PC closed beta. We still don’t know exactly when the beta starts, but the devs said on Twitter that it’s just around the corner. So, expect to see Othercide and its closed beta this month or early next month.
The devs have said that the game is in a stage where they want to collect feedback about the game. They want to see if the gameplay formula is enjoyable and challenging for players. 1000 people are wanted for the Othercide closed beta. Anyone that’s 18 or older and that speaks English/French can apply. You can’t share any information about the game, and you can’t record or stream while you play. An NDA is in effect that forbids all of that stuff.
