Hearthstone: Descent of Dragons Coming In January With 140 New Cards
Hearthstone and its Year of the Dragon are finally getting Descent of Dragons, an expansion that features new cards, including these winged scaly bastards.
December 10 is when Year of the Dragon is finally going to get some freaking dragons. The theme for this expansion if the clash between the League of Explorers and the League of E.V.I.L., so your basic good versus bad match up. The villains are trying to bring back Galakrond, the Progenitor of all Dragonkind back to life. The good guys are trying to stop that from happening, and Dragon Aspects are there to help them in their battle. Galakrond’s Awakening is the boiling point of this clash. That’s a new solo adventure that’s coming with 35 new cards.
Each class that belongs to the League of E.V.I.L.: gets five legendary Glakrond Hero Cards. So, Warlock, Priest, Shaman, Rogue, and Warrior get to play as a big bad dragon. This Hero Card can be upgraded over the game when you use the new Invoke keyword. Upgrading it gives the card more effects and improves existing ones.
Don’t worry, the good guys also have new toys to play with. Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage get new quests. They’re Sidequests now, with easier to achieve objectives and less impactful rewards. Descent of Dragons is bringing all kinds of new cards, and naturally, a lot of new dragons, 1 legendary one for each class. You can find all the new cards displayed here.
