THQ Nordic has recently announced that three new games will be unveiled soon. As the first step of this action, it turned out yesterday that SpongeBob Rehydrated will be released, and then Darksiders Genesis has been announced as the second one. Interestingly, the game has appeared on Amazon briefly which is most likely an accidental leak.
THQ Nordic and Airship Syndicate today unveiled the first top-down action adventure in Darksiders franchise history, Darksiders Genesis.
Genesis itself will not be a direct continuation of the Darksiders series, but a spin-off episode that breaks the traditions of the previous titles. This time it will be a top-down action RPG in which we can shape the Apocalypse’s fourth rider, Strife, and our job will be to prevent the destruction of mankind.
In this Action RPG spin-off, the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse Strife is called upon to save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer. True to its roots, Darksiders Genesis will feature intense combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, epic boss battles and serpent holes from heaven to hell. The game marks the first, full-scale Darksiders adventure played from the top-down perspective.
