Unfortunately, it is not surprising that Anthem is operating with a rather low player base, because there is simply no content in the game to keep us entertained, no updates, and on top of that, developers are not communicating with the fans enough.
It has been a month now that the developer last posted on its Twitter channel, and this clearly does not give the fans hope that there is still a bright future ahead for Anthem.
And what do we mean by low player base? Well, Microsoft recently updated its list of top 50 most played games on Xbox One, and Anthem did not make the list. To give some comparison, Battlefield 1 did make the list, with its roughly 2500 player base.
This means that Anthem most likely has less than 2500 active players on the Xbox One, which is shockingly low for a game that heavily relies on online content. This probably also means that Anthem isn’t doing much better on other platforms.
