Regardless of whether or not you see it as good or bad news, it was confirmed that Destiny 2 players could carry over their players into the game from the first Destiny. Whilst this is possible, you can’t actually customize your original guardians.
When the question was raised as to whether players will be able to edit their migrated character’s customization options in Destiny 2, the response given was: “No. There is currently no plan to allow players to edit the customization options of an imported Character.”
Naturally, this is going to be upsetting news for many players who were looking forward to being able to make use of the expansive options in customization that will be coming to the highly anticipated sequel. Having said that, Bungie is yet to reveal what the character customization entails that will be available in the game, and it will only be available for new characters.
It is an even bigger blow to Destiny 1 veterans who will be unable to customize their characters in the new game, which pretty much undoes all the hard work put in over the last three years or so.
Destiny 2 is set for release on September 6th, 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One, followed by a release on PC on October 24th, 2017.
