Sonic the Hedgehog may already have a successful main series for the most part, but that hasn’t stopped SEGA from trying to make him all the more successful via a racing spinoff. Sonic Team Racing is coming back this year, and it’ll be bigger and better than ever before, and that includes new combinations as you fight to make it to the finish line. And one of the teams you’ll face is led by Dr. Robotnik, aka The Eggman.
SEGA sent out a press release revealing the nefarious trio that will be in the racing team, Team Eggman:Get to know the speed demons in the Team Eggman pit crew by checking out the descriptions below:
● Eggman [Technique] – a.k.a. Dr. Ivo Robotnik is the main archenemy of Sonic, with a personal goal of achieving world domination
● Metal Sonic [Speed] – one of Eggman’s lethal creations, this cold, violent machine aims to prove that he’s the better hedgehog between him and the Blue Blur
● Zavok [Heavy] – the leader of the Deadly Six, a demon-like being that continues to battle Sonic and friends whenever the opportunity arises
Metal Sonic is a classic Sonic the Hedgehog enemy since very long ago, and is still felt as one of the best. Zavok however is a rather new enemy from Sonic The Lost World. The Deadly Six were the main villains of that game, and Zavok himself has only appeared in that and Sonic Forces.
Sonic Team Racing releases later this year.
