Battlefield V Company Coin Fix In The Works
Sometimes in game design, there are issues and problems that you honestly can’t see coming until you put it into the hands of the gamers. And for Battlefield V, they have officially had one of those problems. In the game, your profile ranks up, and when it does, you get Company Coin, which you can use to get more in-game items without having to pay for them yourself. But, as players have found out, once you max out your rank, you can’t get the coins anymore.
According to EA, they did make a small fix for this earlier, but it apparently didn’t work like they had hoped it would. So, they’re working on a bigger and better fix.
“We’ve been tackling this issue since launch and have been testing proposed fixes,” DICE said. “As of today, we released a back-end fix that resolved the issue for many of our affected players, while some are still not receiving Company Coin. This issue is of high priority for us and are committed to fully addressing it.”
Now, as some of you may note, even if it does get fixed, you’ll still have missed out on all the Company Coin you could’ve gotten before. But, EA and DICE say that they’re going to reward those who missed out before:
“Finally, we are also prioritizing two elements related to the issue,” DICE said. “First, we plan to retroactively award players who have missed Company Coin at Rank 50 while this issue has persisted. We’re currently developing a script that will do the heavy lifting on this. Additionally, the End of Round screen is reporting inaccurate Company Coin earned. At the moment, you will not see the correct amount of Company Coin earned but will see an increase in your inventory bank.”
Hopefully their fix works so players can earn what they deserve in Battlefield V.
