No More Heroes 3 Already Planned?
Suda 51 is without a doubt one of the most…unique developers out there in the world. His games are usually infinitely over-the-top. Yet, they also have deep stories, interesting gameplay, and characters that really bring out the worlds that they are in. And this is personified in the series No More Heroes. The series is about to get its third title, but not its third main title. Though Suda 51 claims to have ideas for No More Heroes 3.
The third title that’s coming out in January is Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Which is more of an indie game version of the franchise rather than a true sequel to No More Heroes 2. Although, it does have a story that connects to the previous games. In an interview with NTower, Suda 51 outlined the future:
The truth is that I already have an outline prepared for No More Heroes 3 and if Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is successful it could really lead to that. The story of Travis Strikes Again is actually going to connect with what is going on in No More Heroes 3. Right now I’m focused on my new team, which is composed of veterans and new young staff members and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is the first attempt for us to create a game. I want to give them more experience, so that when the time for No More Heroes 3 comes we’ll do it right and hopefully have the chance to release an amiibo.
Naturally, all of this depends on how the new game does on the Nintendo Switch. However, Suda 51 also noted that if the game does well, he’d love to port the original No More Heroes Titles to the Switch before getting 3 over. But only time will tell if that happens because of ownership rights of those games.
