If you were one of the people that got angry over Diablo Immortal, don’t worry, Blizzard is working on more mobile titles.
No one expected to get a mobile Diablo title. Maybe that’s the reason all the fans got so furious when Diablo Immortal got announced. We understand both parties. Blizzard wants to expand the reach of their media, so they are making games for other platforms. Even though they should have known that their fans wouldn’t like something like that. That’s why the outrage was so immense that even Blizzard couldn’t believe it.
But, they are sticking to their guns, in this case, mobile phones, as they stated that more mobile titles are on their way. What could this mean exactly? Well, it’s safe to say that a lot of people won’t like this fact, that’s for sure. The people that are playing Blizzard’s games are PC gamers. That’s a given, so why are they focusing so much on mobile game development? It’s obvious that they think it could be profitable and they could expand the reach of their games and what not. Maybe mobile games are the future. But it’s pretty obvious that the fans aren’t happy with these decisions.
Perhaps they are planning on making some sort of Warcraft game for mobile devices? Wouldn’t that be absolutely stellar?
