Heart Attacks Are Coming To Scum
There are many things that can kill you in Scum, be it zombies, other players, hypothermia, and now you can add a heart attack to that list.
Scum is a survival/battle royale title that wants to be different. In what may you might ask? Well, it has character customization and progression that go way beyond anything you might imagine. Eating a lot of food makes your character fat, and the model of your character shows that. Running a lot increase the stamina of your character in the same way and helps you lose fat, and so on. Graeme Struthers, the co-founder of Devolver Digital talked to the people from PC Gamer this year at PAX Australia. It seems the game is getting heart attacks that are a large threat to overweight people.
Scum is one of the few battle royale games that caught our attention. That’s mostly because this complex customization and progression system makes playing the game captivating and fun. Instead of hunting for other players and trying to kill them, we mostly spent our time running around the place. We wanted our character to be a good runner with excellent stamina. Unfortunately, you can’t outrun a bullet as we found out when a sniper gunned us down.
The patch that’s coming with the addition of the heart attack wasn’t yet announced. Vehicles are the first thing to come. But, since we like to run in Scum, vehicles aren’t all that interesting to us. But we will try to get a heart attack when that feature gets added to the game in the future. That can’t be a bad way to go when you pair it up with getting eaten by zombies or gunned down by other players.
