Crackdown 3 To Be Playable At X018?
Crackdown is a franchise that started out in a very unique way, via a beta key given out during the launch of Halo 3 back in the day. But through that, a lot of people played it, and enjoyed it, and so when the full game came out, it sold very well. Which, naturally, led to a sequel, which also sold well. Then, a few years back, it was announced that Crackdown 3 would be coming to the Xbox One. And…we’re still waiting for that to happen.
Crackdown 3 is as much a cautionary tale as it is an insight into how even established franchises can struggle to release a game. The title has been delayed numerous times for a variety of reasons. Even after being shown off at several different E3’s and plugging that it would be out soon, only for another delay to hit. But now, it seems like it will be coming out in early 2019. If you want to play a demo of it though, you may only have to wait until next month.
For at X018, it appears as though Crackdown 3 will make an appearance in demo form. This comes from the official Xbox Mexico account (X018 is going to take place in Mexico City, so it makes sense that this account would tweet about it).
So a demo is coming, that’s good, but the question remains…will the game be any good? Usually, delays like the ones this game has suffered is because of the quality of the title. The game even changed developers, which is almost never a good thing. Not to mention, this was supposed to be one of the “big games” for the Xbox One, and all the delays are making fans rather hesitant.
Still, we won’t know until next month and we see the demo.
