Hitman 2 Brings In Sean Bean…To Die By Your Hands
The Hitman franchise is one of the more fan-favorite franchises out there. But trying to reinvent a franchise that has such a simple yet fun premise can be difficult. So thus, the dev team behind the franchise went into more episodic format last year with the simply titled Hitman. These episodes brought players a massive map, tons of missions, and a connecting story, as well as downloadable and event targets to kill if one felt the urge. Now, in Hitman 2, you’ll get the chance to kill one of the most legendary men in the world today…Sean Bean.
That’s right, the actor behind such classic roles as Boromir from Lord of the Rings, Ned Stark from Game of Thrones, and so many more is coming to Hitman 2. But he’s not on your side. No, he’s an assassin, and will be the first “Elusive Target” mission that the game will have. And with his reveal trailer, Sean Bean (as Mark Faba), talks about what makes himself special. Killing…and dying.
For those who somehow don’t know, just about every role that Sean Bean has done over the years has ended in his death. Boromir, Stark, Alec Trevelyan in Goldeneye, and so on and so forth. He’s died so many times that when he had his own TV show on TNT (which got canceled, so it was a kind of death), there was a Twitter campaign going on called #SaveSeanBean.
Yet, here, in Hitman 2, not only do you have to kill Sean Bean’s character, he’s daring you to do it! He doesn’t think you can kill him because he knows “all the tricks”. Are you really going to let that stand?
“I’m thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Hitman 2 video game” said Bean in a recent press release, “It’s always exciting to take on a new role, and I look forward to seeing my character in action when the Elusive Target mission launches.”
The game itself launches on November 13th. Meanwhile, Bean’s Elusive Target Mission wll arrive a week later on November 20th.
