Halo Wars 1 & 2 Free To Try Next Weekend
Halo Wars 1 & 2 are Halo spin-offs that didn’t gather much traction when they came out. Both are quite solid games, and they will be free to try out next weekend.
The first Halo Wars real-time strategy arrived on the PC a year ago. The title released a while back on the Xbox 360, but consoles aren’t made for strategy games so it wasn’t that popular. The first title got a lot of love on the PC when The Definitive Edition came out. The sequel was also quite solid, but it didn’t have the replayability that most strategy games do. Still, both of these games have good single-player campaigns that you will enjoy if you’re a Halo fan.
Halo Wars 2 will be available to Xbox One owners as a part of the Free Play Days event, as Gamespot reported. Those of you that have a PC and an Xbox One can try out both games. They aren’t the most complex or gripping RTS games, but they won’t waste your time. You will find enjoyment in them when you first play through the campaign. If you like what you see, you can buy the games. If you don’t, well, you tried out a game for free, so you didn’t lose anything in the process.
The games are free on October 18th. You have until October 21st to enjoy these Halo Wars games. Maybe you end up liking what you see and you end up buy them afterward.
