As big fans of Lovecraftian horror we are absolutely stoked to see more Call of Cthulhu gameplay trailers. Luckily for us, a new one has just appeared.
We all go a little mad sometimes, don’t we? Be it work, school, kids, having to explore a town filled with crazy people that worship ancient cosmic alien gods. There are many things out there that drive us insane. Fans of Lovecraftian horror should be excited, as Call of Cthulhu just might be the game that manages to capture the vibe of the books that H.P. Lovecraft and his colleagues wrote. Now that it was confirmed that you would do no fighting in this game, players were skeptic. How can you not have fighting in an RPG like this? Well, how would you harm an immortal space god that can drive you insane just by speaking to you?
Thankfully, the new gameplay trailer for the game gave us some glimpse into confrontations and how we’ll be able to resolve them. The thing is, you don’t really want to get into any kind of fights. You need to be able to talk your way out of most situations. If push comes to shove, resort to stealth. Sneaking around blood-soaked caverns and avoiding volatile fanatics sounds like an excellent experience to us. But, our protagonist doesn’t like the dark, so that makes things a bit tricky.
Knowing a thing or two about the occult and medicine might also help you in many situations. Well, when you slowly start drifting into the abyss of madness, no amount of knowledge is going to help you. But whiskey might. Give whiskey a shot.
