Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, the adventure game with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics just got a release date.
To be honest, we could never get enough of the Witcher universe. We’re getting a TV series, which could be a hit or a huge miss, we still aren’t sure which one it will be. Gwent is also officially launching at the same time when the Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales releases on the PC. All in all, we are getting a lot of Witcher-related media. So, are you even familiar with this title? If you aren’t, don’t worry, not a lot of people knew, since this was originally supposed to be a single player campaign mode for Gwent.
It seems like the people over at CD Projekt Red decided to expand this concept into a standalone RPG game. It seems like it’s going to be a card game with those unique puzzles that we mentioned. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is going to have narrative-driven exploration, and it’s going to show us parts of the Witcher world that we never saw before. Everyone should be excited by this news, especially if you’ve played The Witcher 3 at some point.
The hero of this game is someone called Meve. Meve is a war-veteran queen of Lyria and Rivia. From what we know, her two Northern Realms are in danger as the Nilfgaardians want to invade. This means that she has to enter the fray once again and go on a difficult and dark journey full of fun stuff like revenge and destruction.
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is coming to the PC via GOG.com on October 23rd. The game is also launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 4th.
