Insurgency is one of the hardcore multiplayer tactical shooters where teamwork is highly advised. If you like that sort of thing, you can pick the game up in the next 2 days and then keep it forever.
We can all agree on that thing, and that is that free stuff is always welcome. Whenever there is a game that you can grab for free and keep it, do it. It’s free, so it doesn’t cost you anything, and you get to keep a game forever. Even if you don’t like the game in question, you may want to try it sometime later on. Insurgency isn’t really a shooter that can be enjoyed by everyone. It isn’t Call of Duty, it isn’t Battlefield, and it isn’t Overwatch. If you get shot more than once, you’re probably going to die.
You can’t just run away and wait for your health to regenerate. No no no, there is no health regeneration in Insurgency. Realism is an important factor in this tactical shooter, so if you get shot, that bullet wound stays with you. It is a shooter that wants some time invested in it before you get to actually do stuff in it. It’s pretty amazing that a game like this has an active and solid player base, so why not give it a chance? Casual games get boring pretty quickly, but a hardcore title like this will keep you occupied for quite some time if you get into it that is.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is coming out soon, on September 18th to be precise. So before that comes out, give the previous game a chance while it’s free. Who knows, you may even like it.
