Minecraft For Nintendo Switch Gets Resolution Update
Minecraft is one of those games that just spans the generations. Console generations that is. The game that lets you collect resources and build just about anything has been on virtually every single consoles possible since its creations, and that includes recent consoles like the Nintendo Switch. Now, while the core of the game is still the same, there are some interesting differences for players to enjoy. One is special servers, and the others are costumes, and even graphical quality.
THIRDLY: we’ve updated the game on Nintendo Switch, so now it’ll run at silky smooth 1080p when docked! Spectacular stuff! pic.twitter.com/hcuVgiZPET

For the Nintendo Switch version, while it played well, it didn’t have 1080p graphics regardless of which mode you played it in. While it’s not a major issue, it’s one that fans notice. But, Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, has posted on their official Twitter saying that this problem has been solved. Or at least, solved in a certain way.
Yes, when the Switch is docked, you’ll get 1080, for those who play in Tablet Mode, not so much. But still, this is a good thing for those who want their game to be as pretty as possible.
The Switch version of Minecraft has been in the news a lot recently, not the least of which is because the game will be available to cross-play with the other versions of the game. Meaning that PC and Xbox One players can hang out with Switch players a first for the game. Sony declined this option though, so PS4 players are on their own for now.
You could argue that the game is perfect for the Switch given its mobility and freedom to play with others locally like no other console out there. Let’s see what other updates are in store for it.
